Duncan Townsend began his career playing 6 nights a week in the live music clubs of Hamburg’s infamous Reeperbahn (known as the training ground of The Beatles) where he founded several singer/songwriter series which still run today.

His first release as a solo artist (a duet with German pop legend Nena) charted in the top 20 and was followed by an arena tour around Germany. After the release of his first solo album came several support and solo tours around Germany and Europe, including numerous 5000-capacity venues together with Katie Melua.

Duncan has now garnered over 20 years of experience as a live entertainer in countries all over the world, playing for Kings and Queens and even the Dalai Lama.

As a songwriter for various artists, Duncan Townsend has amassed over 500 million streams, written songs for eight #1 albums, been awarded multiple gold, platinum and diamond discs around Europe and his songs have found their way into several films, series and major advertising campaigns. From winning singles for X-Factor Germany to radio hits for German rappers, international Dance classics and popular underground band releases, Duncan continuously creates without borders.
